Alarm conspiracy
Lately I've been finding myself waking up too early in the morning. I usually set the alarm clock (i.e. the built-in alarm in my mobile phone, coz i don't have an actual alarm clock) at about 7am. What i found is I woke up without hearing the alarm, looked at the clock, and it's exactly 2 mins before 7. If it happens only once or twice, it's ok. It's been happening way too often, i find it freaky. And now it's getting worse. This morning I woke up at 6am!! Damn, what's wrong with my brain? Does it not get the idea of an alarm? Or, maybe, the alarm wakes me up with a silent wave to my brain, and just to annoy me, it does it 2 mins before the time I specifically tell it to do, or even worse, 1 hour before! How cruel! Ppl who know me understand how I appreciate my beauty sleep. Or, hmm.. now this is more plausible. I have a built-in clock in my body, and it's doing a race with the alarm! *yes.. yes.. that could be why..*
Oh yesterday the Sky engineer come to fix the problem. He took a minute to assess it, plugged his funky tool to the end socket where the signal's supposed to go to the box, mumbled a bit, then went outside. He came back with a new sky digibox! He plugged everything to the box, and voila... u guessed it right. It works! Then he made phone call to Sky to send the right channels according to my subscription, did a little bit of test, and that's it. "Sign here, and here, please..." So I did. I asked what's wrong with the old box. He said "Dunno, but the system's stuck on standby, by the looks of it". Anyway, now I have a new sky digibox, it's black in colour (my old one is silver). Most importantly, now I can watch TV! Just in time for Friends' 3rd last episode tonight. *dance*
