Swimming hysteria

There are two things (so far) that Agastya is scared of.
1. Swimming pool.
2. Blender.

I took him to a swimming lesson for the first time on Tuesday, and what a nightmare it was. Morningmare, really. He cried nonstop and inconsolably for the whole half-an-hour session, and even still sobbing afterwards. Since then, he's very easy to get upset and cry. When I took him outside to hang clothes, he usually enjoyed it because he can play on the grass, and it's sunny too. But no, crying crying crying. Nonstop until I took him inside. When I used blender to mince his food, he cried. Usually he'll just stay in the travel cot until I finish cooking with few pappadums in hand, but this time no. This is the second blender hysteria I've experienced. It was the same yesterday too, but I thought it was just a one-off thing. I do need to blend the meat because he still can't chew that well yet, so I really at wits end. Even after I finish with the blender, he still did not let me go to the kitchen just to finish my cooking or wash the dishes. He has never been like this and it has started to annoy me.

Some of you might say "Let him cry, so what?" but I can't. The most irritating bit is he usually throws up after a cry like that. Which is alarming if he does very often. Besides, a loud crying toddler is not a pretty sight, believe me.

If this goes on until Sunday then I might decide to go back to Indonesia where I can get lots of hands to help. Will keep you all posted.
