Love story in Playdays

This morning me and Agastya went to Playdays at Knox. I should have taken him more often since I can see he enjoys it, but sometimes with all the cooking (for me and for him), it's hard to fit it into the schedule. I didn't have to cook today since there were lots of leftovers from yesterday's cooking, and with the pressure cooker fixed now my cooking time for him also halved, so I thought why not take him to Playdays.

There was this girl, I don't know her name, so just call her Michelle for name sake. She's blonde and a lot older than Agastya, probably 3 years old. She came with her mum and her mother's group (I presume).

From the first time Michelle set an eye on Agastya in the ball pool, she just could not stay far away from him. Anything Aga did, whether it was just throwing balls off the pool, she'd just giggle and laugh. She was so sweet. Every now and then she'd attempt to hug and kiss him. Sometimes Agastya just sort of let her do it, sometimes he looked annoyed and ran the other way. And she kept following him whereever he went.

Meanwhile, there was this boy who came with her (same mother's group), call him Peter. Similar age as her, he was also very cute. Everytime Michelle tried to kiss or hug Agastya, he didn't seem to like it and try to lure Michelle away by inviting her to play other things. And whenever Michelle was not hugging or kissing Agastya, he'd kiss and hug her.

So there he was, my son, being followed by older blondie and her overzealous boyfriend. Such a cute scene and you just had to be there to appreciate it. Either that or I've been watching too many korean, japanese and taiwanese drama that I started to imagine the scenes happen in real life!

My apologies for the appalling frequency of blogging lately. Blame my lack of enthusiasm and too many good dramas being uploaded in youtube!

I have also turned on the word verification and comment moderation for this blog, because I've started to get lots of unwanted spam comments which does not have anything to do with the blog contents. Some people just does not have anything else better to do, eh?

Advance notice to everyone: I won't be blogging or online for 2 months starting 9th June, since I'll be in Indonesia, the land of frustrating internet connection. I'll try to blog once in a while, when I'm in the mood for getting frustrated. However I'm really looking forward to not having any connection whatsoever with the computer and having lots of hands to help with handling Agastya. I could probably sit down and start reading again! Fingers and toes crossed.

Oh Baby !

The most disconcerting thing in life is when there is a need for your body to desperately hit the bed but your mind does the whole lot to keep you from nodding off. Before I went to sleep, she tells me she wants one more baby. Could it be like, oh – ok, I will go and get one from Coles or Tesco?

I am almost a socialist when it comes to planning. I like no surprises, I like things to be shared and I like a somewhat monotonous life. We had decided that there will be only one baby and if we wanted one more, we could always adopt. That was the plan.

Monica: Nuggie, one more baby!
I: What do you mean?
Monica: One more baby, you bloody idiot!
I: Yeah, I am fine with it. We can adopt one – any country, any ethnic group you opt for.
Monica: Oh, that won't work. I cannot breast feed!!

Aha!! Ze woman has been planning on words for a while now. I can feel she is overworked by my little rascal at home and she wants to have another little troublemaker so that the two imps can play together rather than exasperate mummy all the time?

Now I am at work, a walking android. Mind still at home.

VP Cheney to lead Firing squad of Bali 9 ringleaders

I read this article from The Chaser and I found it bloody hillarious. I almost fell off the chair at work.

Dick Cheney to lead Bali Firing Squad. [Copied verbatim from The Chaser, Thanks]

Indonesia has invited US Vice-President Dick Cheney to lead a quail hunting expedition on the day Bali 9 ringleaders Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran are due to be executed. "We don't think he'll shoot any quails," said Indonesia's Attorney General, "but he might get a couple of mules."

The American public has been urging Cheney to go hunting with President Bush. Cheney was an obvious choice for Indonesia. "For a start we know he won't miss," said one official, "so long as he's not actually aiming at the prisoners. Secondly, we're worried about media reaction to the executions, and we know the Vice President will make every effort to cover up the incident."

Vice President Cheney initially tried to suppress news he had shot his friend, lawyer Harry Whittington, in the face on a hunting expedition, but later said he shot the man because he thought Whittington possessed weapons of mass destruction. It has subsequently emerged that the accident occurred soon after Vice President Cheney received Whittington's legal bill.

There is speculation Cheney could face criminal charges for the shooting, but White House lawyers argue the Vice President has the right to shoot anyone he wants during the War on Terror.

Mr Cheney's victim says he still supports the right to bear arms, but now thinks there should be background checks for license holders. "I'm sure if the authorities had done checks on Dick, he never would have got a license when they found out how many killings he's authorised," Whittington said.

Whittington admits he was surprised when Mr Cheney shot him. "I've always said I'd take a bullet for the Vice President," he conceded, "but I never expected to take a bullet from the Vice President."
