It's a girl!!!!
No matter how many times I said it, I still couldn't believe what I was hearing too. Let me say it three more times. It's a girl, it's a girl, it's a girl! Still can't believe it.
No, I had not delivered a baby girl yet. I just did a 3D scan on Thursday evening which confirmed the sex of the baby (amongst everything else). It was pretty obvious, unless suddenly the baby develops a late rush to produce a male reproduction organ.
We settled on a girl's name long before we settled on the name 'Agastya' for the first one. You'd think that now we found out it's a girl, we'd have no problem in choosing the name for the second one, right? Haha. Think again. The name we agreed on long time back had been vetoed by Nagi for being too common. I suggested a few other names which resulted in Nagi having sudden recollection of cousins and neighbours by that name. Suspicious huh? I really have to ask Krithi to double check if he really does have cousins or neighbours by those names. Oh she also suggested quite a long name just to annoy Nagi, but I'm too chicken to mention it since he could very well say "Aha! That's an excellent suggestion, let's name her that!"
My grandma's prediction which had always been right, was a boy. I never agreed on it, not because I knew all along (mother's intuition) that it's going to be a girl, but because I really wanted a girl. Ignoring all the signs and what everyone had been saying, I kept a silent prayer that I hope it's a girl. Silly, I know. But now that it turned out to be a girl, it's like a prayer had been answered. An easter egg.
Now we just need to agree on a name. *sigh*
