I daily write to iDailyDiary

Lately I feel like I need to write a diary. I used to have one when I was a teenager, like all the teenage girls, pouring all my emotions, happy and sad, but I stopped doing that when I graduated from high school, just because I thought it was too childish and I was too lazy to write a diary. With this blog, of course, it doesn't serve as a diary because I can't say a lot of things that I want to say - some things are better left unsaid, some things are to keep within yourself. I'm not very good with 'keeping things to myself' when regards to my emotions. I can go wacko if I don't let it out, and the best way to do it is by writing a diary.

Then I saw this Korean series, 18 vs 29. Oh ! - Nothing to do with the diary, but I have to mention this - there was a cute boy, Choi Si Won, starring this drama, but he's not the male lead. The story was about a 29 y.o. woman who suffered from amnesia after a car accident and thought she was still 18. She lost all her memory from when she was 18 until she woke up in the hospital surrounded by people telling her that she's 29. This woman happened to keep a diary, which she kept in her computer. Until then I never thought of that idea keeping a diary on my computer. I then quickly search online, and found a journal application "iDailyDiary", which encrypts data files, allows the use of password to protect the journal, and the best part of it is, it's free, unless you need to use features such as spell checker, smileys, etc, which I don't really need. I just need a simple, usable, encrypted, password protected journal.

I've been using it only since yesterday, but I have nothing but two thumbs up for this application. I'm sure the professional version would be great and complete for those who need the advance features, but for now I'm more than satisfied with the free version.

One of the things I like about this application is that when I minimise iDailyDiary, it goes to the system tray, and when I double click to bring it up again, it prompts for my password. Now, I just have to remember that I need to minimise it so that people can't read it!
